As part of their international mobility program, nine Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing students from the IUT de Béthune were given the opportunity to take part in an intensive week-long program, supervised by three teachers.
16 students from the universities of Craiova in Romania, Warsaw in Poland, and Kaunas in Lithuania joined our GEII students to take part in this BIP “Blended Intensive Program”.

The week’s theme, focused on engineering experimentation and simulation, allowed everyone to immerse themselves in exciting technical subjects. All activities were conducted in English, encouraging international exchanges.
During their stay in Romania, our students were able to visit a number of companies linked to their training, including ICMET, a high-voltage and high-current testing laboratory, Ford, a renowned car assembly plant, and IRON GATE, a hydroelectric power station on the Danube.
The program also included two cultural visits: a relaxing cruise on the Danube and a walk in Craiova’s Romanescu Park, for a peaceful immersion in the heart of the city.

The teachers organized an international group project at the end of BIP. To prepare their oral presentation on the importance of simulation and experimentation in engineering, Matlab simulation workshops were organized. At the same time, students took part in conferences dedicated to experimentation and simulation in the fields of mechanics and power electronics.
Congratulations to the students on their work, and thanks to the speakers and partner universities who made this project possible.
Their participation greatly contributed to the success of this enriching BIP for our students!
