The December ceremony filled both our amphitheatres!

Over the past few months, we’ve had the pleasure of graduating our first students from the Bachelor Universitaire de Technologie (BUT) program. The first graduation ceremony took place last December, at which we honored our students who had completed all or part of their course of study through a work-study program. Among them were holders of six BUTs, three Licences Professionnelles (LPs) and two Diplômes Universitaires (DUs).

The ceremony was presided over by IUT Director Cécile MACHUT and Pierre DURIEZ – President of the IUT Council. A number of VIPs were also on hand to congratulate our many graduates: Mrs Anne DAGUET-GAGEY, President of the Université d’Artois, Mrs Ginette LOISEAU – Deputy Mayor of Béthune, Mr Sébastien CARTA – representing CFA Formasup HDF, Mrs Stéphanie PROST representing CFA AFI 24 and Mr Arnaud Dupont, Director of the Lestrem site of Roquette Frères.

It was also an opportunity for the IUT to pay tribute to Mr. Pierre BOULET, former director of the IUT, who passed away in 2024. Mr. BOULET was a pioneer in the development of apprenticeships in higher education, so it was only natural to pay tribute to him at this ceremony.

A second ceremony was held in January to honor our students from the initial training program. On this occasion, six BUT and one LP graduates were honored.

Once again, the entire IUT staff would like to congratulate our graduates and wish them all the best for the rest of their professional lives!
