Objectives and opportunities

The B.U.T. Chemistry is designed to train senior technicians, middle managers and direct collaborators of engineers and researchers in all areas of chemical and industrial applications. The Béthune IUT offers a choice of three courses in 2nd year: analysis, quality control, environment; industrial chemistry; materials and formulated products. The Materials and Formulated Products pathway provides the knowledge and skills needed to handle all phases of a materials or formulated products development process, from the choice of raw materials to design, including the identification and physico-chemical characterization of finished products.

Prerequisites

For admission to 1st year
BAC général scientifique ou technologique
DAEU or equivalent diploma.

For admission to 2nd or 3rd year, you must hold a first or 2nd year scientific degree.

The ideal BAC

BUT Chimie recruits general baccalaureate holders with a scientific baccalaureate (maths and physics-chemistry are particularly appreciated). It also recruits STL baccalaureate holders.
